Whig and elected member of British and Irish Parliament. Edward Stratford was the eldest son of John Stratford of Baltinglass. He was a Whig and elected member for Taunton to the British Parliament (1774), but was unseated for bribery and corruption (1775). He later represented Baltinglass in the Irish Parliament.
